Keywords can be made read-only on E-Forms in two ways.

  • The read-only attribute can be hard-coded the into the HTML code of Keyword fields on the E-Form such that the affected fields cannot be modified.

  • Keyword Types assigned to the Document Type of the E-Form can be configured as read-only.

If the Keyword Types on the Document Type of the E-Form are configured as read-only, users cannot enter or modify the Keyword values in the Keyword Panel. If users enter or modify the values in the Keyword fields directly on the E-Form itself, an error is displayed and the form is not created.

Tip:

See also Hiding Keyword Types for more information on hiding or restricting Keywords on a document.
