You can configure a specific printer to be used as the render device for display using the Render device for display option in the Document options dialog box. This option only specifies the printer device to use for rendering documents in the appropriate resolution. Documents do not have to be printed through the selected printer.
To configure a printer as the render device for display:

Click the ellipses (...) button. The Print dialog box is displayed.
