Optical marks are used on forms to encode information. These marks are written left to right, top to bottom in a tabular pattern.

Follow these steps to configure OMR marks on the statement layout:

  1. Select Layout | OMR Configuration to display the OMR Configuration dialog box.
  2. Select the Use OMR marks check box to activate options which are explained in table below.

    Description

    OMR Display Information

    3 x 6

    Marks are printed across three columns, down six rows.

    2 x 12

    Marks are printed across two columns, down twelve rows.

    Custom

    Create your own pattern by entering the number of columns and rows in the fields provided.

    Line width

    Specify the horizontal width of the marks in hundredths of an inch.

    Line thickness

    Specify the vertical width of the marks in hundredths of an inch.

    Horizontal space

    Specify the horizontal distance between the marks in hundredths of an inch.

    Vertical space

    Specify the vertical distance between the marks in hundredths of an inch.

    Start X position

    Specify the distance, in hundredths of an inch, from the left side of the page

    Start Y position

    Specify the distance, in hundredths of an inch, from the top if the page, until you encounter the edge of the first column.

    Page Drop-downs

    First page

    Specify the field to replace with marks on the first page. This is a required field.

    Middle page

    Specify the field to replace with marks on the middle pages. This is a required field.

    Last page

    Specify the field to replace with marks on the last page.
