EMC Atmos is an object-based storage platform used to store, archive, and access unstructured content at scale. Because the storage of OnBase files is based on the Storage Integration for EMC Centera®, the architectural benefits of that integration can be used for storing files on the EMC Atmos. This includes the ability to:
-
Schedule backup writes to the Atmos
-
Connect from the OnBase Client directly using 2-Tier mode.
-
Use Distributed Centera Services to allow the OnBase Client to connect to the Atmos in 3-Tier mode.
The architecture of the Storage Integration for EMC Centera® does not allow an Atmos copy to be configured on Copy 1 (the uncommitted copy). Copy 1 must reside on a UNC-accessible mass storage device. An Atmos Disk Group copy can be configured as either a committed copy or a backup copy.
