Keyword Types assigned to a Document Type can have their settings changed for that particular Document Type. These settings also affect the way in which Keyword Values are handled during document import and retrieval. These settings do not affect the way in which Keyword Values are handled in display columns (such as a custom query).
These settings are only affected on a per Document Type basis. The same Keyword Type can have different option settings for different Document Types. For example, a Check # Keyword Type can be required for importing into the Purchase Order Document Type, while it can be optional when importing into the Misc. Expenses Document Type.
To view and edit the settings for Keyword Types assigned to a Document Type, on the Document Type's page, select a Keyword from the Keyword Types list. The Keyword Type's settings sidebar is displayed.
Changes to the Document Type's page are not saved until you click Save.
