A dataset is a list of values set for a Keyword Type that are displayed as a drop-down menu in the Keyword field. Keyword Types without a dataset allow for user-defined values, while a dataset limits the values a user can select.
Note:
Datasets are not available for Keyword Types with following Data Types: Date, Date Time, Currency, Specific Currency, and Floating Point.
A dataset for a Keyword Type may be edited in the OnBase Administration Portal.
Note:
The Use Dataset setting is not available in the OnBase Administration Portal. Datasets must be created within the Configuration module.
To edit the values within a Keyword Type's existing dataset in the OnBase Administration Portal:

To remove a value from the dataset, click the minus sign
button (
) next to the
value.

To sort the dataset values, use the Sort drop-down menu
above the list of dataset values. Select Sort Alphabetically
(A-Z) to have the values sorted in ascending order
alphabetically. Select Sort Alphabetically (Z-A) to have
values sorted in descending order alphabetically. Select Custom Sort
Order to allow for a customized order by clicking and dragging
each value using the Sort icon (
).
