License usage reports display license usage information from workstations using the OnBase Application Server. Information includes the name of the license used, the workstation using it, and the date and time it was accessed.

If your solution includes multiple Application Servers, the same license usage information is logged for each Application Server currently in use. Specific workstation information is also included in the log to help distinguish Application Servers.

Note:

Before generating a report, you must first begin to log license usage from the Configuration module. See the Licensing option in the System Utilities Overview section for more information.

To generate a license usage report:

  1. Apply the -ROMANZO switch to the Client shortcut before launching the Client.
    CAUTION:

Before using features enabled by the -ROMANZO switch, ensure that you understand the feature and implications of any changes to your system. Contact your service provider with any questions regarding these features. Features enabled by the -ROMANZO switch should not be made available to the casual user. Remove the -ROMANZO switch after completing necessary actions.

  2. In the Client, select Admin | License Usage Report.
The License Usage Settings dialog box is displayed.
  3. Click the Report From drop-down button and select a start date from the calendar. You can also click the numbers in the Report From field representing the month, day, or year and modify the selected portion of the date by entering the appropriate number.
  4. Click the Report To drop-down button and select an end date from the calendar. You can also click the numbers in the Report To field representing the month, day, or year and modify the selected portion of the date by entering the appropriate number.
  5. Select the appropriate OnBase Application Server from the Application Server drop-down list. Available options vary depending on your system setup.
  6. Enter the number of entries you would like each license to be displayed within the report in the Number of Entries field. For example, one license may have been used more than 500 times in the specified time frame, but you only want a sampling of the data. You can enter a lower number, such as 20.
  7. Click Start.
    The report is displayed.
    Note:

License usage reports are stored in the SYS Verification Reports Document Type.
