You can reset the Application Server cache when exiting the OnBase Configuration module. Resetting the Application Server cache will reset the cache of all Application Servers installed on your system.

To reset the Application Server cache when exiting the OnBase Configuration module:

  1. Select Utils | Service Monitoring. The Service Monitoring Utilities dialog box is displayed.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Select Prompt to Reset Cache on Configuration Exit to enable a prompt for cache reset when exiting the Configuration module.

It is considered a best practice to leave the Prompt to Reset Cache on Configuration Exit option enabled so when configuration changes are made, the cache can easily be reset when exiting the Configuration module to apply any changes to the appropriate modules and platforms.

    • Deselect Prompt to Reset Cache on Configuration Exit to not be prompted to reset the cache when exiting the Configuration module.

It is possible an administrator will want to make a series of changes over time without applying the changes to the system. In that case, disabling the Prompt to Reset Cache on Configuration Exit option may be helpful. However, the Application Server cache must then be reset manually. See Resetting the Application Server Cache in the Configuration Module.

  3. Click Close.
  4. Exit the OnBase Configuration module. If the Prompt to Reset Cache on Configuration Exit option is selected, a prompt is displayed to confirm whether the Application Server cache should be reset.
  5. Click Yes. The Application Server cache is reset. If your system has multiple Application Servers installed, their caches are also reset.
