You can create and schedule login banners, which are system notifications displayed to users upon logging in to OnBase. Configure login banners to notify users of important system announcements, such as:

  • Configuration changes

  • User-required actions

  • Schedule processes

  • Friendly reminders

Login banners are displayed for a configured number of days. They can be assigned to one or more of the following platforms:

  • OnBase Client

  • Unity Client

  • Web Client

  • External Access Client

  • Integration for Microsoft Outlook

To configure a login banner:

  1. From the Configuration module, select Utils | Login Banners.

    The Login Banner Configuration dialog box is displayed.

  2. Enter a name for the login banner.
    This name is only used for configuration and organizational purposes. It is not displayed to users.
  3. Click Create.

    The Login Banner Settings dialog box is displayed.

  4. Specify the first and last days the notification should be displayed to users by doing one of the following:
    • Enter the start and end dates into the Start Date and End Date fields, respectively.

    • Click the calendar drop-down buttons from the Start Date and End Date fields, and select the start and end dates, respectively.

  5. In the Login Banner Message field, enter the message to be displayed to the user.
    Note:

    The URL field is reserved for future functionality.

  6. Select the OnBase platforms in which the notification should be displayed:
    • Client(OnBase Client)

    • Unity Client

    • Web Client

    • External Access Client

    • Mobile(Mobile Access Clients)

    • Outlook Integration(all supported versions)

  7. Click Save.
