- Converting Encrypted Data
-
Not all data in OnBase is converted using the Analyze Encrypted Data dialog box. For example, the Cryptography Settings configured do not affect the encryption method used by Encrypted Disk Groups or Encrypted Alpha Keyword Types and this data is not converted from the Analyze Encrypted Data dialog box.
-
For information on changing the encryption method for Encrypted Disk Groups, see the Platter Management module reference guide.
-
For information on changing the encryption method for Encrypted Alpha Keyword Types, see the Encrypted Alpha Keywords module reference guide.
-
User password cannot be converted but are automatically updated the next time the user changes their password. For details on resetting user passwords, see the System Administration module reference guide.
- FIPS 1402-2 Encryption Suite
-
Selecting FIPS 140-2 as the Encryption Suite may require other areas of OnBase to be configured in a way that aligns with the FIPS 140-2 standard. For details on how this standard is enforced in OnBase, see the FIPS 140-2 Implementation Guide available from your first line of support.
-
See also FIPS 140-2 Considerations.
- Version Compatibility
-
Depending on the configured Cryptography Settings, the Version Compatibility setting for passwords set from the Utils menu in the Configuration module may need to be the same or newer than the Version Compatibility setting configured in the Cryptography Settings dialog box.
