The following options are available on the Email tab:
Email Option |
Description |
---|---|
Use real names for internal email addresses |
Select this option to display a user's Real Name in the email From field when sending internal email (using File | Send To | Internal User) in OnBase. Otherwise, the user's user name will be used. Note:
User names and the user's real name are configured using the User Names/Passwords option at the User main menu in the Configuration module. |
Use Email Distribution Service for automated emails |
Select to enable the Distribution Service to automatically send notifications out through email to OnBase users. Note:
This option is selected by default when a new database is created. |
Use Email Distribution Service for Document Distribution |
Select to enable the Distribution Service to automatically send notifications out through email when using Document Distribution. |
Use local time for MAIL Date and MAIL Date Time values |
Select to allow automated values of the MAIL Date and MAIL Date Time Keyword Types to be based on local date and time. For the Mailbox Importer module, local time is based on the Application Server locale. For OnBase email integrations, local time is based on the workstation locale. When this option is not selected, UTC format is used to determine the automated values for these Keyword Types. Note:
This option applies to OnBase email modules, which require separate licenses. For more information on this option and how it applies to a module, see the corresponding module reference guide. |
Auto-Name string for external email attachments |
Select an option from this drop-down menu to configure the name used when documents are sent as attachments through external email. This option also affects files sent by Unity Pop. Random String: OnBase will generate a random file name for the attachment. Document Type Autoname String: OnBase will use the Auto-Name string configured for the Document Type of the document being sent. Document Type Print Autoname String: OnBase will use the Print Title string configured for the Document Type of the document being sent. If no Print Title string has been configured for that Document Type, OnBase will use the Document Type and the Document Date. |
