The Assigning File Formats dialog box allows you to specify which file types appear in the File Type drop-down list when importing a document in the OnBase Client. This allows you to create a list of available file types for members of the selected User Group. Any file types not in the list are made unavailable in the File Type drop-down list when importing a document.
Note the following limitations when configuring available file types in the File Type list:
-
Leaving a file type off of the File Type list does not prevent a user from selecting a file with an incompatible type when manually browsing files.
-
Importing a file with a file type that is not compatible with the type selected from the File Type menu may cause errors, such as the file not being viewable within the OnBase Client.
-
If file types are assigned at both the Document Type and User Group levels, only file types included in both lists are available during import.
-
The File Type lists configured at the User Group level are not respected by Unity Briefcase.
