The redaction migration tool converts databases using the old redaction method (redaction rendition) to the new redaction method, (redaction Document Type to store redacted images.) Perform Redaction migration only once.

  1. Assign a redaction Document Type to all Document Types that currently use redactions. See Configuring Document Type Redaction for more information.
  2. In the Configuration module, select Utils | Redaction Migration. The Document Redaction Migration dialog box displays.
  3. Click OK.
  4. If the redaction migration completed successfully, you are prompted to choose whether or not to remove the Redaction Migration menu item from the Utils menu in the Configuration module.
  5. Click Yes to remove the option. Click No to keep the option visible. If the redaction migration was not successful, a dialog box instructs you to check the Redaction Migration Report (found in the SYS - Verification Reports Document Type in OnBase). This report lists all Document Types that were not successfully migrated.
