The Version Compatibility utility lets you set a minimum version for the OnBase Client, Unity Client, and Web Client that a user is allowed to log on to for a given database. This prevents users with older versions of the software from logging on.

To set the minimum version compatible with your OnBase database:

  1. Select Utils > Version Compatibility.
The Minimum Version Compatibility dialog box is displayed.
  2. In the Minimum Client Version field, enter the minimum version (including the build number) of the OnBase Client users are allowed to log on to.
Note: You cannot set a minimum version that is lower than the version set in the Cryptography Settings dialog box.
  3. In the Minimum Web Client Version field, enter the minimum version (including the build number) of the OnBase Unity Client and Web Client users are allowed to log on to.
When setting a minimum version for the Unity Client, ensure the version and build entered in the Minimum Web Client Version field match the version and build of the Application Server used for the Unity Client.
Note: You cannot set a minimum version that is lower than the version set in the Cryptography Settings dialog box.
  4. Click OK.
Users on builds older than the versions entered cannot log on until they upgrade to a newer version.
