Custom code is allowed in the Hyland Cloud. However, it must go through the Custom Code Process Review and get accepted before it can be used. Hyland reserves the right to deny implementation of custom code.
Unity Scripts are an exception. Unity Scripts do not require approval from a Custom Code Process Review to be used in the Hyland Cloud.
The Custom Code Process Review is an evaluation of potential security and compliance concerns.
When custom code is sent through the Custom Code Process Review, it is a security review to ensure code execution does not have a negative impact on the Hyland Cloud environment. Hyland does not evaluate your code to ensure desired functionality, adherence to coding best practices, or solution operability.
Code reviews can take more than two weeks from the date that a resource is assigned to perform the review. Resource availability along with solution complexity affects the time to completion. Providing advance notice of a solution in need of custom code review can significantly reduce turnaround time
For information on what guidelines to follow to ensure that custom code is accepted, see Custom Code Guidelines.
