The settings under Display Options detail how a keyword of the selected Keyword Type is displayed in OnBase clients.
The following settings are available under Display Options:
Changes to the Keyword Type's page are not saved until you click Save.
Display Option | Description |
---|---|
Show in Keyword Panel |
If this setting is disabled, keyword values of this Keyword Type are treated as invisible and not displayed in all dialog boxes, except while indexing image documents and in Auto-Name strings. Specifically, keyword values not shown in the Keyword Panel are still displayed (not invisible) in the following dialog boxes:
Invisible keyword values are also displayed outside of dialog boxes. The display columns on Custom Queries and Workflow filters can display values assigned to invisible Keyword Types. However, invisible keyword values are not seen or displayed in the following dialog boxes:
Note:
The Access Restricted Keywords privilege does not affect a user's ability to view invisible keyword values. If an invisible Keyword Type is placed on a Unity Form template, the Keyword Type is displayed on the form unless security at the Unity Form level is set. |
Automatically Display a Keyword when viewing a document |
If Display Keyword is selected, the Keyword dialog box is displayed automatically for all open documents. Keyword Types are displayed by Keyword Type name, followed by the keyword value. Date and Date & Time keyword values are displayed according to the workstation's Regional Settings. If the Keyword Type has no value, the Keyword dialog box is not displayed. Note:
HTML documents, including E-Forms, do not support auto-display keyword values. Note:
If you select Display Keyword for an encrypted Keyword Type, the keyword value that is displayed will always display with a mask, even to users in User Groups with the Access Encrypted Keywords privilege. |
Reading Order for Right-to-Left Languages |
Select Standard for Language to have keyword values translated and read from right to left. This is recommended for most Keyword Types. Select Force Left-to-Right to force the keyword values of this Keyword Type to be displayed left to right. This is useful for keyword values that need to be oriented the same across languages. For example, the telephone number 440-555-5000 displays as 5000-555-440 in a system configured to use a language that reads right to left and Standard for Language is selected. Selecting Force Left-to-Right causes the number to display correctly as 440-555-5000. |
