The following are considered best practices for configuring Custom Query options:

Do not create By Document Group or By Keyword Custom Query types unless necessary. These types of Custom Queries can potentially return large numbers of documents.

When creating a By Document Type Custom Query, select the Restrict by Rights check box to force the Custom Query to respect OnBase Document Type rights.
Note:
The Restrict by Rights setting is only respected by the OnBase Client. In clients that require a Web or Application server, such as the Unity Client, all queries are run as if Restrict by Rights is selected.
