Once a Keyword Type Group is created, it can be assigned to a Document Type. Keyword Type Groups can be assigned to a Document Type either from Document Type configuration or the Keyword Type Group Configuration dialog box. The process below describes how to assign a Keyword Type Group to one or more Document Types from the Keyword Type Group Configuration dialog box.

Tip:

This method is especially useful when a new Keyword Type Group is created and must be assigned to multiple existing Document Types.

For more information on assigning Keyword Type Groups to a Document Type from Document Type configuration, see Configuring Document Type Keywords.

To assign a Keyword Type Group to one or more Document Types:

  1. From the Configuration module, select Keyword | Keyword Type Groups.
  2. Select the Keyword Type Group Name and click Document Types. The Assign Document Types dialog box is displayed.
    Note:

Available Document Types vary based on user privileges.

  3. To assign the Keyword Type Group to one or more Document Types, select the appropriate Document Type(s) from the Available list and click Add.
To remove the Keyword Type from one or more Document Types, select the appropriate Document Type(s) from the Selected list and click Remove.
  4. Click Close to save your configuration and assign the Keyword Type to the selected Document Types.
