Depending upon a user's rights to view certain documents, they may or may not be able to view attachments sent through the system's internal mail. However, by configuring the Backwards Compatibility setting, for internal mail, a user's privileges can be overridden.

Note:

This option is selected by default in the Configuration module.

  1. From the Configuration module, select Utils | Backwards Compatibility.
    The Backwards Compatibility Settings dialog box displays.
  2. Select the Disregard privileges for mail attachment viewing check box.
    CAUTION:

    Selecting this check box ensures that any user may view an attachment sent to them through internal mail, regardless of the privileges restricted upon them. Deselecting this check box allows OnBase to follow privileges assigned to each user.
