Misc Options

Description

Display real name instead of user name

Select this option to display the real name of the user instead of the designated online user name on a global basis. A user's real name is entered in the User Names/Passwords dialog box.

If no real name is configured for a user, their user name is displayed instead. This may cause some dialog boxes to be sorted incorrectly when sorted by real name.

Note:

This option does not affect the display of user names in the Workflow Queues dialog box in the Classic Client Workflow interface or the EDM Briefcase.

Archive configuration activity as SYS Configuration Report

Select this option to enable verbose logging to automatically be activated the next time the Configuration module is launched. This option relates only to the Configuration module.

When this option is selected, the verbose logging information is archived into OnBase in the SYS Configuration Reports Document Type. Retrieve these reports in OnBase. Each new session of Configuration launched creates a new document of the SYS Configuration Reports Document Type.

Disable document list refresh

When selected, this option disables the Disable document list refresh User Option in the OnBase Client.

View Notes remains open in viewer

When this option is selected, the Select Note window remains open until the user manually closes it. The Select Note window will be properly updated if changes are made to existing notes on a document, such as updating the note text, or deleting notes. The window will also be updated when new notes are added to the document. When this option is selected, the Select Note window cannot be moved out of the document viewer.

When this option is not selected, the Select Note window will close automatically once a note has been selected. The Select Note window can be moved out of the document viewer.

Calculate cross-reference areas based on image DPI

Select this option to ensure cross-reference areas on image documents are approximately the same size, regardless of the image's resolution (DPI).

When this option is not selected, defined cross-reference areas appear larger on images with lower DPIs than on images with higher DPIs.

Enable F7-F12 accelerator keystrokes

Select this option to enable the following shortcuts from the OnBase Client:

F7, F8, F9, F10, F11, and F12

When this option is not selected, these shortcut keys will be disabled. This option is deselected by default.

Enable Save Text Options from results list

Select this option to display the Save Text Options dialog box when OnBase Client users send text documents to file from a results list.

When this option is not selected, the Save Text Options dialog box is only displayed when users send an open text document to file.

Custom Splash Screen

HTML Document: Select this option to select a custom HTML document to display before user login. HTML Splash Screens available for selection are those that reside in the SYS - HTML Forms Document Type. The screen displays for 4 seconds before log on.

To see the default splash screens, users must have access to the network location of the System Disk Group, where the form is stored.

Window Size (pixels): Set the appropriate size of the splash screen display.

Wait for submit button: Select to require the user to click a Submit button to advance from the HTML document to the Log on dialog box. Your HTML Submit button must be of Type=submit.

Custom Help File

Directory containing Custom Help Files: This option incorporates Custom Help Files into the Client by adding the Help | Custom Help menu. This menu is only displayed in the Client if a directory is specified in the text field. Click the Browse button to specify the directory where Custom Help Files are located. A maximum of 100 Custom Help Files can be displayed by the OnBase Client.
