You can set view and purge rights for each of the logs based on User Group. These options are set using the check boxes in the User Log Privileges Configuration dialog box. View allows a User Group access to view that log. Purge allows a User Group to empty out the logs and start over.
The HL7 Event log does not have a purge option.
The User Log Privileges Configuration dialog box allows you to set View and Purge permissions for each log type. The following log types are available:

The Processing Log keeps track of processing operations, such as running a COLD process or purging a batch. |

The Scanning Log keeps track of all scanned batches in the OnBase system. |

Security Log |
The Security Log keeps track of information on login and logoff attempts, including the current version of OnBase and the ODBC driver you are using, as well as changes made within the Configuration module that affect user accounts (e.g., changed passwords, creation of new users, validation of product licenses). |

System Log |
The System Log keeps track of any changes to your OnBase system, such as updating your system to a new version. |

Transaction Log |
The Transaction Log is called the Document History log on the OnBase Client. This log keeps track of all actions performed on documents, such as viewing, modifying, and deleting. |

The Mailbox Importer Log keeps tracks of Mailbox Importer errors and warnings. |
