Depending on your system's configuration, a user with Not Equal Security Keywords configured can view results differently in the OnBase Client. The Utils | Database | Database Settings option Perform security keyword checking during database query controls the way search results are displayed. For more information, see 2.
-
With the option selected: Documents that meet the Not Equal condition will not appear in the search results list.
-
Without the option selected: All documents that meet the search criteria, including documents that meet the Not Equal condition, will appear in the search results list. However, documents that meet the Not Equal condition will appear with the label Restricted. Double-clicking a non-restricted document allows for viewing of that document. Double-clicking a restricted document generates a message box indicating that the document is unavailable for viewing.
When a Security Keyword is configured as Not Equal and is part of a Keyword Type Group that does not have Allow Null Values selected, the Add / Modify Keywords dialog box cannot be accessed on documents for which the Security Keyword value is an empty, non-null value.
Restricted documents cannot be used in any document imaging functions (e.g., Send To, Retrieve by Document Handle, Document Properties, Cross-Reference, Re-Index, Render Statement, etc.).
When using wildcards, only results that a user has rights to are able to be viewed.
