You can append a text string to the name of each icon or bitmap in a batch, allowing you to re-name some or all of the icons and bitmaps in your system at the batch level.

To rename all of the icons and bitmaps in a batch:

  1. From the OnBase Configuration module, select Utils | Icon and Bitmaps Import Process. The Icon and Bitmap Configuration dialog box is displayed.
  2. Select the batch of icons and bitmaps to be renamed from the Batch Settings drop-down.
  3. Click Rename Batch. The Icon/Bitmap Batch Rename dialog box is displayed.
  4. Select the Keyword Type whose value will be updated during the renaming process from the Keyword to Update drop-down.
    Tip:

Typically, only the Description Keyword Type is assigned to icons and bitmaps.

  5. Enter any text you would like to place before the existing name of the icons in the batch in the Prepend String field. Enter any text you would like to place after the existing name of the icons in the batch in the Append String field.
A preview of the modified icon names is displayed in the Example section.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Launch or re-launch the OnBase Client module. Note that the icon names have been updated with the text strings that you prepended or appended to them.
