The following are additional best practices that should be considered by all OnBase Administrators:
-
Ensure that all system hardware and software maintenance tasks are being performed in line with the manufacturer's recommendations.
-
Run all system configuration reports prior to any changes in the OnBase implementation.
-
Provide anonymous user surveys for feedback on OnBase and its effectiveness in their daily work.
-
Determine the feasibility of upgrading to a newer, released version of OnBase.
-
Schedule the purging of document maintenance. This ensures that it is done on a consistent basis.
-
Ensure that database backups do not conflict with any other database processes scheduled to run. The database will be locked while performing the backup, preventing any other database processes from running.
