Click Print Title to configure a label that will appear at the top or bottom of each output page printed for this Document Type.
Print titles do not apply to documents that are printed with external applications (e.g., OLE or PDF documents).
If no print title is specified, the label will default to < Document Type> - <Document Date>(%N - %D2).
The position of the Print Title is configured in the Print Format assigned to the print request.
The Print Title Configuration dialog box is displayed:
The Label String field at the top holds the string that is used to generate each document's Print Title. The Print Title string is determined by static text and variables, representing specific information about each item. The variables can be distinguished from static text by the % before the each symbol.
You can use up to 150 characters when entering text in the Label String field. However, the Print Title itself has no limit to the number of characters it can use. For example, you could enter 140 characters in the Label String field, then use the last 10 characters in the Label String field to represent a Keyword Value that is 60 characters long. In this case, you would be using 150 characters to create a Print Title that is 200 characters long.
The Symbols Used section displays the available variables. Click inside the field and type the symbol or click the symbol's button to add it to the Label String field.

To add a Keyword Value to the Print Title string, select a Keyword Type from the Keyword Type drop-down or enter the symbol manually. For more information on configuring Keyword Values to display in a Print Title string, see Keyword Types.
Keyword Types in Print Titles can slow down document retrieval time for this Document Type in Core Services applications, including the Web Client. If retrieval searches in the Web Client take longer for this Document Type than for others, it may be due to Keyword Types in the Print Title.
Partial Keyword Values, called substrings, may be configured to be displayed in the Print Title string. For more information on configuring substrings, see Keyword Value Substrings.
Click Save when complete.
Another label defined in the Print Format is the Page Header. The Page Header is displayed along with every image, or page, of the stored document when it is printed.
