Level 2 consists of privacy options that span across Note Types. The settings on this level affect the options available in Level 3. This level is controlled by an administrator through the Configuration module. The options are Disable Privacy Options, Disallow View, Disallow Update, and Disallow Delete. These options, with the exception of Disable Privacy Options, apply to all users belonging to a User Group that have rights to the Note Type, except the creator of notes. Disable Privacy Options revokes the right to access Privacy Options on Level 3, for all users including the note's creator. For example, a user belongs to a User Group that has Create, View, Modify, and Delete privileges on Level 1 for the Draft Note Type. Everyone in this user's group has full privileges to this Note Type using the Level 1 security. An administrator decides that they do not want anyone to change or delete notes other users create, but wants to allow the creators of notes full control over their own notes. He or she configures the Draft Note Type with the Disallow Update and Disallow Delete privacy options. Now, only the user who created a note can modify or delete notes within the Draft Note Type. All other users will be able only to view notes they have not created themselves within the Draft Note Type.

If a privilege is denied at the Level 1, it is not necessary to disallow the related privacy option at Level 2.
