By default, when a user uses the OnBase Client to index a Date & Time Keyword Type on an E-Form with only a Date value, the current time will be stored as the Time for that Keyword Value. For example: if a user indexes a Keyword Value as “10/10/2010” at 9:15:00 AM, the value stored will be “10/10/2010 9:15:00 AM”.

You can select the Store blank dates on E-Forms as midnight option to override this behavior and store a value of 12:00:00 AM when the Time is left blank. For example: if this setting is selected and a user indexes a Keyword Value as “10/10/2010” at 9:15:00 AM, the value stored will be “10/10/2010 12:00:00 AM”.

Note:

This option does not apply to the OnBase Web Client. When using the Web Client, a value of 12:00:00 AM is always stored when the Time is left blank, regardless of the Store blank dates on E-Forms as midnight option.

To select this option, follow these steps:

  1. From the Configuration module, select Utils | Backwards Compatibility.
  2. Select the Store blank dates on E-Forms as midnight check box.
