  1. In the Configuration module, select Users | User Groups & Rights to display the User Groups & Rights dialog box.
  2. Select a User Group and click Document Types to open the Assigning Document Types for [user group] dialog box.
  3. The Available for Selection section lists all of the Document Type Groups and Document Types that are currently stored in the system. The Selected for Group section lists the Document Type Groups and Document Types that have been assigned to the users within the User Group. To add one or more of the following items, to the Selected for Group section, select the item and click Add.
    • Document Type or multiple Document Types

    • Document Type Group (and its Document Types)

    • All Document Types and Groups

Document Type Groups and Document Types can be removed from the User Group's rights by selecting Document Type Group(s) and/or Document Type(s) from the Selected for Group section and clicking Remove.

Note:

When Document Type rights are removed from a User Group, the documents from that Document Type will still display in the folder search results list with their full name; however, the user will have insufficient rights to view the document.

Tip:

You can also add or remove Document Types by double-clicking on the desired Document Type.
