To designate a specific user as a template:

  1. Click User Template on the User Names and Passwords dialog box. The User Account Creation Template dialog box is displayed.
  2. Select the user from the User Account drop-down that you want to specify as the template user account.
  3. To place new users in the same User Groups as the selected user, select the Default to Copying to User Groups option.
  4. Click Save.

The user's settings will be saved and used as a global template for new user accounts. The template settings are automatically applied to the new users. This includes licensing settings, subject to licensing limits. Errors will not be displayed if no licenses are available to assign.

Note:

The Institutional Super User (where applicable), User Group Administrator, and Service Account settings will never be used as template settings for new users.

Note:

This feature is intended for use with Active Directory or LDAP Authentication.

Note:

The User Template button will always be available to the MANAGER and ADMINISTRATOR accounts. In order to access the User Template button, other users must be granted the User Configuration Configuration Right.
