Document Display URLs are base URLs that allow certain modules to output unique URLs to documents and other objects in OnBase. The base URL is derived from a Web application that accepts a query string (e.g., DocPop and FolderPop). When the link is accessed, the referenced object is displayed.

For example, when generating a CSV file in the OnBase Client, users can select to include a DocPop link for each selected document in the CSV file. To allow users to include DocPop links for selected documents, configure a Document Display URL for DocPop called CSVGenerator.

Note:

The Document Display URL must be called CSVGenerator for this specific process.

Document Display URLs can also be used for specific processes in HL7 and Document Knowledge Transfer. For more information on these processes, see HL7 and Document Knowledge Transfer & Compliance module reference guides.

To configure a Document Display URL:

  1. Select Utils | Document Display URLs. The Document Display URLs dialog box is displayed.
  2. Enter a name and click Create. The Document Display URL Options dialog box is displayed.
  3. Type the appropriate URL for the Pop integration in the URL field. For example, if you're using DocPop, you'd type the following: http://YourServer/AppNet/DocPop/DocPop.aspx.
Query string parameters can also be appended. For example, http://YourServer/AppNet/DocPop/DocPop.aspx?clienttype=HTML tells DocPop to use the HTML Web Client. See the DocPop documentation for further information about configuring DocPop.
  4. Click Save.
