If you are upgrading to OnBase Foundation 22.1 and your system contains views that were created in previous versions of OnBase, you must update these views by running the View Updater in the WorkView Doctor within OnBase Studio.

You will not be able to edit views in version Foundation 22.1 until the views are updated. Updating your views in the WorkView Doctor will ensure that they render properly, and it will migrate to the OnBase database all views and image resources that were stored in your System Paths directories.

The files that are in System Paths directories and the paths defined in the System Paths for WorkView will remain. Once these configuration items are moved to the database, they will be retrieved from the database at runtime. In order to provide backwards compatibility, the files should be left in their directories, and the System Paths should be maintained. This allows administrators using a version previous to OnBase 18 to be able to access these configuration items. All configuration of views should be done from an OnBase Studio version 18 or greater.

The conversion of views does not delete the old version of the view. After conversion, if you open WorkView in a version previous to Foundation 22.1, you will see the previous version of the view. Although it is editable, any changes you make cannot be converted to version 18 once the initial conversion is made. Once you have converted the views in Foundation 22.1, you must edit the views in version Foundation 22.1 or the changes will not be reflected in the client.

Until you update your views in version Foundation 22.1, views and actions will not be displayed in the Repositories. pane.

For more information on running the View Updater, see the section on updating views in the WorkView | Case Manager module reference guide.
