It is recommended that the OnBase web server and PeopleSoft server are both on the same domain (e.g., peoplesoft.mydomain.com and webserver.mydomain.com). With this setup, the configuration of the integration is greatly simplified as many of the default settings can be used. For example, in a default setup, the web browser only forwards the authentication cookie to other servers on the same domain, while servers on different domains do not receive the cookie.
The instructions in this appendix assume single sign-on is being configured with the OnBase web server and PeopleSoft server on the same domain.
If it is not possible to have the OnBase web server and the PeopleSoft server on the same domain then the PeopleSoft node issuing the authentication token must be configured to issue an authentication cookie for the domain the OnBase web server is on. Refer to PeopleBooks for instructions on how to accomplish this.
