Beginning in OnBase 18, system administrators can configure their OnBase systems to use encryption for the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS 140). Once this encryption suite is set for OnBase 18 or later, all OnBase clients and components must be upgraded to OnBase 18 or later. Versions of OnBase prior to OnBase 18 do not support this encryption suite and can no longer be used in an OnBase environment configured for FIPS compliance.

For general information on using OnBase to assist with your FIPS compliance needs, contact your first line of support to see if FIPS implementation guidance is available.
