If you are upgrading from a version of OnBase prior to OnBase Foundation EP1, you must configure Epic encryption settings in OnBase Configuration under Utils | External Systems.

This requirement affects the following applications:

  • DocPop

  • OnBase Patient Window

  • DeficiencyPop

  • Patient Portal Link (Integration for Epic MyChart)

Beginning in OnBase Foundation EP1, Epic encryption settings are no longer configured in the web.config files of OnBase applications. Instead, the encryption settings are configured in OnBase Configuration under Utils | External Systems. Epic encryption settings in the applications’ web.config files are ignored.

For more information, see the Integration for Epic module reference guide.
