It is considered a best practice to only configure Document Types on the Synchronization Settings and Import Settings tabs that are relevant to working offline. For example, Document Types that require you to be in the presence of a patient to complete should be configured as Document Types on the Synchronization Settings and Import Settings tabs. Document Types that do not require you to be in the presence of a patient to complete should not be configured as Document Types on the Synchronization Settings and Import Settings tabs. Configuring Document Types that do not need to be available offline unnecessarily increases synchronization times for users.
