To edit a document by clicking and dragging in Page Display Mode:

Click and drag the page(s) from one document to the right of the desired leading page. A red line will appear at the point of insertion. For example, in this image, Page 5 is being dragged to be added to the right of Page 1:
If a page is dropped to the left of the first page of a new document, it will be inserted as the new first page of that document.
