When an email document is viewed as an image in the Document Viewer, it can be opened externally in its native application by selecting View in Native Format.
Note:
The View in Native Format option is only available when viewing .EML and .MSG documents. The user option Open email documents as images must be selected. For more information, see User Options > Document.
