If you no longer need a template, you can delete it. Once a template is deleted, new forms cannot be created using the deleted template.

To delete a template:

  1. Open the template that you want to delete in the Forms Designer.
  2. In the ribbon, click Delete. A message stating You are about to Delete the current form template. Deleting a form template will remove it from the designer and it will no longer be available to users filling out new forms. Are you sure you would like to Delete the form template? is displayed.
  3. To continue with the deletion, click Delete. The form will be deleted and will not be available.
    Note:

    If a template is deleted that is associated with a shared form, the shared form will not be accessible.

    Note:

    When a draft of a template is open or you have just saved a draft of the opened published template, the Delete button is not enabled.
