Marks qualifying records as denials so that they become visible from the Denial Management interface.

  1. To configure a task that executes a selected denial activity on qualified items that match the specified criteria, select Denial Qualification Task from the drop-down list when prompted to select the type of task you want to create.
  2. Click Next.
  3. Select one of the following options to specify the range of dates that contain the claims the task will be executed upon.

    • Standard Date Range- select this option to set the first date of the date range to the last posted date of a processed denial. If no processed denials exist, claims will be processed from the earliest posted date.

      Select Yesterday to set the last date of the date range to the previous day, or select Current Date to set the last date of the date range to the current day.

      Note:

      You can only configure a single Denial Qualification Task to use the Standard Date Range option.

    • Custom Date Range- select this option to set a custom date range. Set the Start date field to a date that will be used as the first date of the date range, or set the End date field to a date that will be used as the last date of the date range.
