The Platter Deletion Processing task executes any platter deletion jobs that have been approved in Platter Management Administration.

To configure a Platter Deletion Processing task:

  1. Select Platter Deletion Processing from the drop-down list when prompted to select the type of task you want to create.
  2. Click Next. The Platter Deletion Processor page is displayed.
  3. Type the maximum number of simultaneous deletions into the field. The value entered into this field must be between 1 and 20.
    Note:

    The recommended maximum number of simultaneous deletions is 20. Higher settings are available, but users will need to monitor their systems to ensure the higher setting does not negatively impact performance.

  4. Click Next. The User Group selection page of the Task Wizard is displayed.
