If you are running the Web or Application Servers, or other OnBase Web applications, be sure to back up your web.config files prior to upgrading. The web.config file contains configuration information for your OnBase Web applications, and having a backup will allow you to have a reference of how your system was configured prior to the upgrade.
Make note of any customized web.config settings, as well as settings that have been modified from their default values. This information can be referenced when updating specific settings in the web.config file for the new version of OnBase.
If you are upgrading from OnBase 9.0 or later, you can create a backup of your web.config file by using the Web Application Management Console (WAMCON).
It is important to use the version of the web.config files that comes with the upgraded version of OnBase. Previous versions are only to be used as a reference.
