To begin upgrading your database, launch the updated version of the Configuration module and follow these steps:

-
A database version mismatch message similar to the following is displayed:
- Select OK.
-
A database compatibility message is displayed:
- Select Yes if you are ready to begin the upgrade.
- The Database Upgrade Confirmation dialog box is displayed. Verify that your Hyland Software Customer Number(HSI #) is accurate. If it is not, contact your first line of support for assistance in completing the upgrade.
- Enter a Contact Name For Upgrade in the field supplied. This should be the name of a system administrator able to respond to issues identified in technical bulletins.

- Contact your first line of support to retrieve the necessary Response Code for the upgrade.

Note:
In the unlikely event that you receive ODBC errors during the upgrade, do not ignore these errors. Contact your first line of support immediately. While some errors may be harmless, others may cause your upgrade to fail. Provide your first line of support with a screen shot of the error so that they can determine the best steps to take.
- Once the database has been upgraded, the End User License Agreement may be displayed. In order to continue, you must read and accept the terms and conditions by selecting I Accept the Agreement before clicking Close.
-
Click OK to continue.
Note:
If you are upgrading from OnBase 6.2 or earlier, you will be prompted to enter your Hyland Software Customer Number after completing the database upgrade. If you have not done so already, contact your first line of support to request this number. You may select OK to continue to the Configuration module and enter your Hyland Software Customer Number at a later time. You will be prompted to enter this number each time the Configuration module is launched until the number is entered.
To complete the database upgrade process, you must run Foundation DBUtils. For information on how to run Foundation DBUtils, see Upgrading the Database Using Foundation DBUtils.
