Foundation 22.1

The Welcome Screen of VPConnect allows you to post news and helpful information for your external and internal users. You can add one to many messages that are displayed whenever someone logs onto the system.

Getting Started:

  1. Log on to VPConnect using a user account established as a VP Admin role account. This enables the Edit menu for the Welcome Screen messages. No other role allows editing of this feature.
  2. To add/delete/modify the messages, you must enter Edit mode by clicking the Edit News button.
  3. To add a new message, click the Add News button. A dialog box opens up at the bottom on the screen that looks like the following:
  4. Click the Edit link on the left if you want to continue adding a new message or the Delete button to cancel the added event.
  5. Once Edit link is clicked, you can enter the text of the message and embed pictures as well.
  6. Use the Active check box to create drafts and when ready, select the Active check box to make the message available for everyone to see. If this check box is left unselected, only the VP Admin can see the message.
  7. Use the Priority field to determine the order in which the message should be displayed if you have multiple messages.
  8. When you have finished entering and formatting the news item, click the Update link on the left. Updating an existing message would work similarly.
