Once a foreign disk group is created, you must create a DIP Format configuration to support the import of media files. When using DIP with Media files, you should only configure it to use the Media Stream field format. Do not configure other file formats in the DIP configuration.
Refer to the DIP module reference guide for details on setting up the DIP configuration.
The following steps are required to set up DIP formats that will be used for media file upload.

From the Import menu, select Document Import Processor. Select the DIP format you created, and click Process Settings. The Import Processor Configuration dialog box for the format you selected is displayed.

In the Index File section, select the following options:

In the Field Type section, select Ordered Fields

In the Separator section, select Custom, and enter a pipe character ( | )

Select the End Of File Designator check box. In the field, enter END:(it is important that the colon is entered in this field)

In the Archiving Method section, select the following options:

Select the In Place option
-
Select the Specify Foreign Disk Group check box

Select the disk group you created earlier from the drop-down list

- Click Save.

From the Document Import Configuration dialog box, click the Document Types option for the DIP format you created. The Assign Document Types dialog box for the format you created is displayed.
- From the Available section, select a Media Stream document type.
- Click Add to add the document to the Selected list.
- Click Close.

From the Document Import Configuration dialog box, click the Field Order option for the DIP format you created. The Import Processor Configuration dialog box for the format you created is displayed.

Select the document type assigned to the DIP format, and select Field Configuration. The Field Configuration dialog box is displayed.

Do the following to add keywords to the field:

From the drop-down list, select the Name keyword.

Click Add. The keyword is added to the Keywords box.

From the drop-down list, select >>File Name.

Click Add. The keyword is added to the Keywords box.

- Click Close. Continue clicking close to close all dialog boxes.
