By default, the Virtual Print Driver is configured to save all image files as multi-page TIFF files. If desired, you can configure the Virtual Print Driver to save documents on a single-page per file basis. To do so, open OnBase Configuration and navigate to Users | Global Client Settings | Document and select the Archive Virtual Printer Driver documents as single-page image files (using File Archive through Client) option.

When this setting is enabled and a user prints a document from the OnBase Client, the document will be saved to the disk group as many separate files - one unique file per document page.

This will not affect the way these documents are displayed in OnBase. However, selecting this option can speed up document retrieval for very large documents with thumbnails displayed.

Note:

This option only applies to documents sent to the Virtual Print Driver from the OnBase Client. This option does not affect documents sent to the Virtual Print Driver from the Web Client or Unity Client.

Note:

If you are using Document Imaging to sweep Virtual Print Driver files into OnBase, you can also use the Convert to Single Page TIFF File per Page option to import documents on a single-page per file basis. This option will apply to all documents in the scan directory, even if they were sent to the Virtual Print Driver from the Web Client or Unity Client. See the Document Imaging documentation for more information on this setting.
