By default when the OnBase Print Monitor is run a Print Monitor system try icon is displayed. This icon can be disabled with the hideicon registry key.
Note:
Running the OnBase Client module with the -PRINTMON command line switch will cause the Print Monitor system tray icon to be displayed even if the hideicon registry key is set to true.
CAUTION:
Modify the registry at your own risk. Incorrectly editing the Windows registry can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Be sure to back up the registry before making any changes to it.
To disable the Print Monitor system tray icon:
- Select Start | Run, type regedit.exe and click OK. The Registry Editor window is displayed.
- Navigate to the MainConfiguration key, which is located under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Hyland Software Print Driver Monitor 2.0\obpmon\ by default.
- Create a new string value named hideicon.
- Double-click on the new string value.
- Enter true in the Value data field.
- Click OK.
- Close the Registry Editor window. The Print Monitor system tray icon will be hidden.
