To install the Virtual Print Driver silently on a new machine, Hyland Software, Inc. needs to be added as a trusted publisher. To set Hyland Software, Inc. as a trusted publisher, you must obtain the PublicCert.cer file from your solution provider.
Certificates can be imported many ways, including being pushed out to client machines via Group Policy. Please consult Microsoft documentation to best determine how to deploy the Hyland Software, Inc. certificate to the Trusted Publisher store on your machine.
To manually install the certificate file, follow these steps:
- Click Start | Run and type MMC.
- Click OK. The Microsoft Management Console is displayed.
- Select File | Add/Remove Snap-in... The Add or Remove Snap-ins window is displayed.
- In the Available snap-ins: window, select Certificates and click Add >. The Certificates snap-in window is displayed.
- Select Computer account.
- Click Next.
- Specify a computer to manage this snap-in and click Finish.
- Click OK.
- Under Console Root, select Certificates and double-click Trusted Publishers.
- Double-click Certificates.
- Select Action | All Tasks | Import... The Certificate Import Wizard window is displayed.
- Click Next.
- Click Browse... and navigate to the location of your PublicCert.cer file.
- Click Next.
- Select the Place all certificates in the following store radio button and type Trusted Publishers in the Certificate store: field.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish. The certificate is displayed. The user can now silently install Hyland products without being prompted.
