This issue may occur if the PDF document is encrypted using a trusted certificate and the workstation printing the document uses Adobe Reader XI or Adobe Acrobat XI to display PDFs.

To avoid this issue, do one of the following:

  • Use Adobe Reader X or Adobe Acrobat X (instead of XI) on workstations that use Virtual Print Driver to print or process documents.

  • Disable protected mode within Adobe Reader XI or Adobe Acrobat XI on the workstations that use Virtual Print Driver to print or process documents.
