Administrators can configure whether certain Web Server Web.config settings are shown or hidden in the Web Application Management Console by editing WebApplicationManagementConsole.exe.config. Settings that are shown can be edited in the Web Application Management Console. Hidden settings are not displayed and cannot be edited through the Web Application Management Console.
For the following settings, a value of hidden means that the field is not shown in the Web Application Management Console. When no value is specified, the field is shown in the Web Application Management Console.
You cannot specify Web Server Web.config values for these settings in the WebApplicationManagementConsole.exe.config file. You can only specify whether the field is hidden or shown in the Web Application Management Console.
