CAUTION:

Adding or removing a required Keyword Type will cause the changes to be saved to web.config. As a result, the application will restart, and any users connected to it will lose their sessions.

Note:

For the Pubic Access third generation toolkit, the configuration of required keywords can only be done directly in the web.config file, not in Web Application Management Console.

To add or remove a required Keyword Type for Public Access Server

  1. Click the Required Keywords button from the toolbar. The Public Access Required Keywords dialog box is displayed:
  2. Click Add to add a new entry to the RequiredKeywords section of the Public Access Server's web.config file. The Add Required Keyword dialog box is displayed.
  3. Enter the appropriate Custom Query ID and Keyword Type ID.
    If the Query ID value is *, then the requirement is applied to all queries.
  4. Click OK. The new required Keyword Type is added.
    To remove a required Keyword Type, select it and click Remove.
  5. Click Save.
